Yoichi Isagi's dream is shattered when a mistimed pass causes his team to lose a match. Isagi deeply regrets this mistake. But then he receives a strange invitation from the Japan Football Union.
Isagi is selected for a dangerous project called "Blue Lock," where 300 of Japan's best strikers are brought in. The aim of this project is to produce the world's greatest "Star Striker." But the condition is that every player here is each other's enemy. If you win, you'll move on, but losing means your football career is over forever. Isagi will now have to shed his old ways and become an "Egoist." Will he be able to leave the other 299 players behind and reach the top?
