Yoichi Isagi’s dream is shattered when a mistimed pass causes his team to lose a match. Isagi deeply regrets this mistake. But then he receives a strange invitation from the Japan Football Union.

Isagi is selected for a dangerous project called “Blue Lock,” where 300 of Japan’s best strikers are brought in. The aim of this project is to produce the world’s greatest “Star Striker.” But the condition is that every player here is each other’s enemy. If you win, you’ll move on, but losing means your football career is over forever. Isagi will now have to shed his old ways and become an “Egoist.” Will he be able to leave the other 299 players behind and reach the top?

Denji’s fate is utterly bleak, with his father’s debts weighing heavily on him and nowhere to live. He has only one friend, Pochita—a devil with a chainsaw. The two team up to kill devils to pay off the thugs. But the thugs betray him and kill him. Then Pochita becomes a chainsaw-wielding man himself. Now, a beautiful girl named Makima treats him like a pet dog and fends off the devils. Denji is risking his life for a good meal and a girl.
