Nanoka’s life changes when she is suddenly transported through a portal to the ancient “Taisho era” (a period of Japanese history). There, her life is saved by an exorcist named Mao, who rescues her from the clutches of a terrifying demon. When Nanoka returns to her present-day world, she realizes that some strange and powerful forces have taken hold of her.
To find answers to these questions, she travels back in time, where she joins Mao in investigating some dangerous murders. Nanoka discovers that both Mao and her sword are cursed by a cat demon named “Byoki.” Anyone who lifts this sword, other than Mao, will be killed. But when Mao’s life is in danger, Nanoka, without thinking, picks up the sword herself! Will Nanoka be able to escape this curse?
