Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble?

During the cold winter of his first year of middle school, Arata Kouda meets a strange creature that looks exactly like a bird. Its name is Kujima. Kujima was hungry, so Arata takes it into his home—but perhaps he had no idea how quickly this guest would become a part of the family.

There’s already a tense atmosphere at home, as Arata’s older brother has failed the entrance exams. Taking advantage of this confusion, Kujima moves in as a “freeloader.” Kujima says he’ll only stay until winter ends and spring arrives, but will this strange bird really leave, or will his presence win over the Kouda family? This is the story of a unique friend who will change everything before summer arrives.
