This is the story of the “Komekami! Girls”—a team of seven sisters who aren’t from any ordinary family, but rather the daughters of the “Rice Goddess” herself. An ancient tale holds that seven gods reside within a single grain of rice, and these sisters are the living embodiment of that tradition. When their mother (the Rice-God Queen) is suddenly summoned back to the celestial realm and doesn’t return, these seven sisters set out to find her.
Making Usa City in Oita Prefecture their base, the sisters teleport to Hachiman shrines across Kyushu Island in search of a place for their mother. On this journey, they not only travel but also solve problems for people along the way, learn new ways to eat and drink, and participate in epic “Cooking Battles.” This is a beautiful story of their friendship, hard work, and learning through cooking.
