The horrors of violence often surround Yuuta Okkotsu, a sixteen-year-old boy who is a nervous wreck in the schoolyard. Yuuta holds a powerful curse, a power that severely damages those who insult him. Rika Orimoto, Yuuta’s lawyer, is a shadow of his younger self and is capable of convincing anyone to kill him. Yuuta's unique perception caught the attention of Satoru Gojou, a powerful martial artist who trained at the Tokyo Academy of Jujutsu. Gojou finds out more about Yuuta and hopes to help him perfect his killing skills. However, Yuuta is forced to find his place among his former classmates: Toge Inumaki, who suffers from schizophrenia; Maki Zenin, weapons expert; and Panda. Yuuta uses Rika relentlessly during a practice session with the other first-year students, but the side effects of the sheer strength displayed by Rika sparks an interest in Suguru Getou who calculates with insults. As Getou attempts to absorb Rika’s power and use it to wipe out all non-jujutsu people from the planet, Yuuta battles with his friends to stop the genocidal plan.
